Recently, I was browsing on freelance sites, and I was not surprised to see that there are now job posts where clients are looking for someone with AI skills.
Last year, many said AI would replace freelancers.
But good for us, clients still want a human VA.
Though this time, with another requirement: AI skill.
And don’t worry, Bosses! This is not about complex coding, data science, or super complicated computer-related jobs (well, yes, I see some job posts about that too)
But for now, let’s focus on work opportunities many of us can apply for.
Here are 5 AI-related freelance jobs you can try this 2026, Bosses!
1. General Virtual Assistant

Of course, since our main content is about Virtual Assistance, this is number one on the list.
Same VA role, but this time, we MUST know how to use, manage, and check AI outputs.
Because most established clients already have systems. What they need is a VA who can use AI to optimize workflows, create SOPs faster, and automate daily operations
2. AI Graphic Assistant

If you have noticed, some brands are already using AI-generated graphics on their social media account pages or product photos on e-commerce sites.
Now, we can maximize AI to design faster, generate more graphics, and keep up with our clients’ desired results.
But that doesn’t mean everything has to be 100% AI-made.
We can still design as usual. It’s just that this time, AI tools like those inside Canva can help us work faster, get more design ideas, and create better marketing materials for our clients.
3. Social Media Manager

If you have already watched our SMM playlist, it’s basically the same.
What’s new is that we can now use AI to generate content ideas, write captions, design graphics, schedule content, and even reply to comments and messages automatically.
Yup! Whatever we do as Social Media Managers, AI can help us get it done faster.
4. Appointment Setter

See? Clients are now noticing what AI can really do for their business.
For example, this one, they just need someone to keep an eye on their automated chats, basically making sure their appointment-setting workflows are running smoothly.
5. Automation Specialist

If you prefer project-based work, there are opportunities where clients just need someone to help them set up and automate their systems.
After that, your main task for them is done.
But of course, as freelancers, we love and need projects to sustain our freelancing journey.
So, my tip for people who love project-based work, you can let your client know that you’re available to troubleshoot issues regularly. It’s still project-based work, but it gives you an extra source of income.

There’s still a lot to learn, and that’s what we’re focusing on for this year.
The more we know, the more opportunities we can get, Bosses!
So, stay tuned because 2026 is the perfect year to master AI.
